The chemical composition (electrolytes, glucose, uric acid, selected enzymes, amino acids, lipids, steroids and cyclic AMP) of porcine follicular fluid samples at different developmental stages of the follicle was analyzed and compared with porcine serum. Quantitative as well as qualitative differences between these fluids have been noted and are discussed with respect to follicular development.
