About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover: From "Molecular Characterization of Heat Shock-Like Factor Encoded on the Human Y Chromosome and Implications for Male Infertiliy" by Shinka T, Sato Y, Chen G, Naroda T, Kinoshita K, Unemi Y, Tsuji K, Toida K, Iwamoto T, Nakahori Y (Biol Reprod 2004; 71:297–306). Photomicrographs for confocal laser-scanning microscopic analysis of the intracellular localization of HSFY tagged with a myc epitope in NT2/D1 cells (green: myc-tagged HSFY; red: nucleus). Myc-tagged HSFY was clearly localized in the cytoplasm (upper picture), but not in the nucleus (lower). The cells without myc-tagged HSFY showed no positive signals with an antibody against a myc epitope (left and right).
