How do I find out the correct nomenclature to use for genes and proteins?
Manuscripts submitted for publication in BOR must comply with accepted and standard gene and protein nomenclature. Please see BOR’s nomenclature guidelines for the basic rules and links to nomenclature websites.
When may I use abbreviations in my manuscript?
Abbreviations are generally not allowed in manuscript titles unless they are gene or protein symbols. Please see Preparing a Submission: Terminology for more information.
