Biol Reprod Online SUBSCRIBER HELP & SERVICES:
Frequently Asked Questions
about Individual (Non-SSR Member) Subscriptions

  1. Will I receive a password? May I share my password with friends, or is use limited solely to me?

Yes, during the subscription process, you will be asked to supply a user name and a password that you can easily remember. You are the only one licensed to use this password.

  2. What if I forget my password?

We have instructions for what to do if you forget your user name or your password. Details about how to do this will be included as part of the subscription process.

  3. Why should I get an Individual (Non-SSR Member) online subscription?

Individual (Non-SSR Member) Subscribers have access to:
Tables of contents, abstracts, full text searching, full text display, document delivery, PDFs, links to Medline and GenBank, future tables of contents, and the advantage of having password access to Biol Reprod Online from any computer connected to the Internet.

  4. How can I tell if my institution has subscribed? How do I get my institution to subscribe?

If your institution has an online subscription to BiolReprod Online, you will automatically have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full text display, PDFs, Medline and GenBank links, and future tables of contents. You'll also see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution.

If your institution does not have an online subscription, it cannot access the electronic version of Biol Reprod. If you would like to have an institutional online subscription, please contact your local librarian.

  5. Will I still be able to get the paper version?

Yes. Individuals and institutions may subscribe to the paper version of the journal as well as the electronic version, for an additional cost.

  6. Who is eligible for an Individual (Non-SSR Member) and a SSR Member Subscription?

Individual (Non-SSR Member) subscriptions are available to individuals, providing them with a paper and electronic version of the journal. SSR Members are eligible for SSR Member Subscriptions to Biol Reprod, providing them with a paper or electronic version of the journal (or both, for an additional cost). SSR Members and Non-SSR Members may also have access to Biol Reprod Online through an Institutional Online Subscription. Institutional Online Subscriptions are somewhat more limited than Member Subscriptions. The special member services are not available to non-member subscribers, and full-text access from off of the institution's network (e.g. home access) is not available.

  7. How can I access Biol Reprod Online if I am not an SSR member and I don't have access through an institutional subscription?

You may wish to apply for SSR membership or you may wish to purchase an Individual (Non-Member) online subscription. Without a subscription you have access to Tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.

  8. How do I become a member of SSR?

Information about SSR Membership and application forms are available from SSR.
